How PracticeCLB AI Scoring Works
Transparent, rubric-based evaluation you can understand and trust.
Methodology
Writing responses are scored on four criteria; speaking adds a fifth.
Did you fully address the task? Is your response appropriately formatted and the right length? Does it directly answer what was asked?
Do you use precise, varied vocabulary? Are words used accurately with appropriate register (formal vs. informal) for the context?
Are sentences grammatically correct? Do you use a range of sentence structures, or rely on simple patterns? Are there patterns of errors?
Does your response flow logically? Are ideas connected with appropriate transitions? Is each paragraph focused and well-organised?
Words per minute, hesitation patterns, filler word frequency, and how smoothly you maintain speech without long pauses.
Clarity of articulation and whether your speech is easily understood by a general Canadian English listener.

“Reading and Listening were always my weaker areas. The practice passages here actually feel like the real test — not just random text. I'm glad I found this before my exam.”
