1. About PracticeCLB

PracticeCLB (practiceclb.com) is an independent, AI-powered English language exam preparation platform operated by a sole proprietor in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We provide CELPIP-style practice questions, AI scoring, coaching recommendations, and study tools to help candidates prepare for English language proficiency exams.

PracticeCLB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Paragon Testing Enterprises or any official CELPIP testing body. All content is independently created. AI scores are practice estimates only and do not predict, guarantee, or represent official CELPIP scores.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PracticeCLB, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you may only use PracticeCLB with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be shared, scripted, or used in ways that violate these Terms.

5. Payment — One-Time Access Passes

One-time access passes grant premium features for a fixed number of days from the date of purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe in Canadian dollars (CAD). Access passes do not auto-renew. Your access expires at the end of the purchased duration.

6. Payment — Recurring Subscriptions

We also offer Monthly (CAD $29/month) and Quarterly (CAD $69 per three months) subscription plans. These plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

• Cancelling: You can cancel yourself at any time in Settings → Billing → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you will not be charged again and you keep your premium access until the end of the period you already paid for. There is no refund for the unused part of the period (see Section 7 for the refund rules). Before the period ends you can undo the cancellation in the same place.
• Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, we email you with a link to update your payment method, and our payment provider (Stripe) retries the payment automatically on its standard schedule. Your access continues for a short grace period while this happens. If the payment still cannot be collected, the subscription is cancelled and your access ends when the paid period and the grace period end.
• One subscription per account: An account can have only one active subscription at a time. If you already have one, manage it in Settings → Billing instead of starting another. You can still buy a one-time access pass while subscribed; the days are added to your access.
• Changing plans: To switch between Monthly and Quarterly, cancel your current subscription and subscribe to the other plan when the current period ends.

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on the 30-day, 90-day and 180-day access passes and on the first payment of a new Monthly or Quarterly subscription. To qualify, you must request the refund within 7 days of that payment and have used Premium only lightly: since the payment, no more than 5 AI-scored Writing or Speaking submissions and no more than 1 completed full mock exam. The 7-day guarantee can be used once per customer, matched by account email and by payment card.

• Final sale: the 3-day, 7-day and 14-day passes are not refundable. Subscription renewal payments are not covered by the guarantee.
• Technical problems and billing errors are always refunded, regardless of the limits above.
• How refunds work: email [email protected]. Every request is reviewed by us and is never automatic. Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days; your bank may take an additional 3–10 business days to reflect the credit. Refunding a subscription payment also cancels that subscription immediately and removes the premium days the payment granted.
• Outside these rules (after the 7-day window, above the use limits, or a second refund request) refunds are issued at our discretion. We may decline a refund where we reasonably believe the policy is being abused, for example by creating several accounts or using several cards.
• Disputes: if you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us, the premium access that payment granted is removed while the dispute is open.

The Score Improvement Guarantee (Section 9) has separate refund eligibility terms.

8. AI Score Disclaimer

Scores generated by PracticeCLB are AI estimates produced for practice purposes only. They do not predict, guarantee, or represent official CELPIP scores. Official scores can only be obtained by taking the official CELPIP exam administered by Paragon Testing Enterprises. Actual exam results may differ materially from AI-generated practice scores.

9. Score Improvement Guarantee

The Score Improvement Guarantee comes with the one-time 90-day and 180-day access passes bought from PracticeCLB. It does not apply to Monthly or Quarterly subscriptions or to shorter passes, and it can be used once per customer. If you meet every condition below and your overall level does not improve by at least 1 CLB level, you can choose a refund or a free extension. You make and track the claim in your account at /guarantee. A summary is on the Score Guarantee page; if the two differ, these Terms apply.

• Baseline report: Within 7 days after the day of your purchase, upload an official CELPIP General score report dated within the 3 months before your purchase, with an overall level of CLB 7 or lower. We check the report by hand; if it is not accepted you may upload a corrected one until the same deadline. Only the CELPIP General test qualifies.
• Overall level: your overall level is the average of your four skill levels (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking), rounded down. For example, levels of 8, 7, 7 and 7 average 7.25, so the overall level is 7.
• Practice requirements: During your plan you must complete, in your PracticeCLB account, at least 20 practice sessions in each of Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening; 15 AI Tutor conversations; and 3 full mock exams. Only genuine attempts count: a session must be completed and scored; a Writing response must have at least 150 words; a Speaking response must be at least 30 seconds long and produce a clear transcript of at least 40 words; every question in a Reading or Listening session must be answered; at most 3 sessions per section per day are counted; an AI Tutor conversation counts only if you sent at least 3 messages in it; and a full mock exam counts only if it took at least 60 minutes. Sessions that are part of a full mock exam count through the mock, not as separate practice sessions. Your tracker at /guarantee shows your progress.
• Retake — the first test after your baseline: Your claim must be based on the first official CELPIP General test you take after your baseline test. You must take it during your plan or within 60 days after your plan ends. If you take another official test first, the guarantee cannot be claimed on a later test. The claim form asks you to declare that the retake was your first test after the baseline, and we record that declaration.
• Claim: Submit your claim, with the official report from the retake, within 30 days after the date of the retake, and no later than 30 days after the end of the retake window.
• How deadlines are counted: Every deadline is a calendar date in Toronto time, and the deadline date itself is still allowed: you can act any time on that day, and it passes at the end of that day (00:00 Toronto time the next day). For example, if your plan ends on April 5, 2027, you can retake until June 4, 2027 (60 days later); if you retake on May 1, 2027, your claim is due by May 31, 2027. Your tracker shows your exact dates.
• What counts as “no improvement”: your retake overall level is lower than your baseline overall level plus 1.
• Your remedy — refund or extension: If your claim is approved you choose either (a) a refund of the amount you paid to PracticeCLB for the pass, or (b) a free extension of your Premium access equal to the length of the pass you bought (90 days for the 90-day pass, 180 days for the 180-day pass). The refund is limited to the amount you paid to PracticeCLB for the pass. It does not include CELPIP test fees, travel or any other costs.
• Verification and decision: We review both official reports, your activity logs and the dates, and we may ask you for more information. We aim to decide within 5 business days of a complete claim. We may deny a claim if a report is unreadable, is not a CELPIP General report or does not match your name, or if any condition above is not met; the denial email lists every reason. If we approve a refund, it goes to your original payment method.
• Personal use: The guarantee is for the person who bought the pass and for that person’s own practice. Sharing your account, or having someone else do your practice, voids the guarantee (see also Section 4).
• If the pass is refunded or disputed: the guarantee ends. This includes a refund under the 7-day money-back guarantee in Section 7 and a payment dispute with your bank.
• Your reports: The official score reports you upload are used only to verify your guarantee, are stored privately, and are deleted 90 days after your claim is closed (or after the claim window ends without a claim); we keep only the levels and dates. See our Privacy Policy.
• Appeals: If you think a decision is wrong, reply to the decision email within 14 days and we will review it again.

The Score Improvement Guarantee is a refund-or-extension promise only. It is not a promise that you will achieve any score on an official test, and AI practice scores remain estimates (Section 8).

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract question content in bulk
• Share, resell, or redistribute platform content or AI-generated scores
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or paywalls
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable Canadian law or these Terms

11. Intellectual Property

All platform content — including practice questions, AI-generated feedback, sample answers, study guides, templates, and course materials — is the intellectual property of PracticeCLB or its licensors. You may use content solely for your personal exam preparation. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without written permission is prohibited.

12. Privacy and Data

Your use of the platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and store your personal information, practice responses, and audio recordings.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PracticeCLB and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to: failure to achieve a target exam score; immigration application outcomes; or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI scoring will achieve any particular accuracy level.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your access to premium features ends immediately. Sections 8, 11, 13, 14, and 16 survive termination.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ottawa, Ontario.
